“I believe in the fact our mother tongue, our culture and traditions we follow connect us to our roots and define our personality and helps in building a sense of belongingness. I wanted to do my part to inculcate these in the younger generation. In the year 2004 , along with a couple of other volunteers, I taught my neighborhood children for 2-3 years. In 2014, Kondal Rao garu and I came up with this idea to start a school for all the children interested in learning our mother tongue. We concurred that the best way to get proper support and reach across the Telugu community in Cypress is to be affiliated to TCA, which has a glorious history of serving our community for more than 40 years. The consistent increase in the number of new registrations and our ability to retain the existing kids reflect our commitment and growth. I am committed to this cause and will continue to fulfill my responsibilities to the best of my abilities.”

"Since my growing up years, I have always loved to teach. I even acquired a nick name "Panthulamma" in my college. Working with children and imparting them our language the little nuances, the beauty and sweetness in it, has been my absolute pleasure for the past 3 years. My goal is to make the children realize the gift they have been bestowed upon in the form of our Mother tongue , to understand the significance of learning it and I will always strive towards achieving it"
“I always wanted to teach. It couldn’t materialize as I had other obligations like my kid’s activities, and also work related commitments. So far as a parent, I have taken advantage of the benefits my child got by learning at Telugu Badi. Now, I am ready to give back to the community by being a teacher-volunteer at Telugu Badi.”

- I like to volunteer at Telugu badi because I love our kids to get acquainted with our Indian culture, at the same time feel proud to teach them learn our language which enables them to develop a close bond or relationship by learning their mother tongue & thus our Telugu culture.
